An online space for the vegans of Lemmy.

Why are the Gay Lea cans not vegan?
Sorry, I realized my mistake as soon as I hit post so I tried to delete it right away lol
All good. You made me double check just in case. I know the certification logo looks unique that's always a warning sign for fake vegan products.
Well, if I'm being super picky about it technically "mono and diglycerides" can be derived from either vegetable or animal fats, and it doesn't appear to actually say that it's vegan on the can that I can see for whatever that's worth
The heart shaped logo with the V on the left most bottle at the bottom reads "certified vegan". So I guess it is. I'm kind of curious how this tastes to be honest. Coconut goes well with a lot of sweets...
The cream is the same but with a hint of coconut.
