Regarding spoilers; Please put "(Spoilers)" in the title of your post if you anticipate spoilers, as we do not currently have a spoiler tag available. Please use spoiler tags whenever commenting a spoiler in a non-spoiler thread. Most of the Lemmy clients don't support this but we want to get into the habit as clients will be supporting in the future.

Fantastic fucking episode.
Nightcrawler's eulogy for Gambit was perfect and showed a real love for the character from the writers
The sudden twist from relief that Sunspot's mom knew and accepted her son as a mutant to betrayal that she wants to keep it secret mirrored what a lot of LGBTQ youth go through with their own parents
Rogue going off in her grief and actually trying to kill Trask when he was no longer useful was jaw dropping
And some cameos from Captain America and Thunderbolt Ross, with a Hulk name drop to boot
Another line that I found impactful was the medic:
Captain America, Ross & the Hulk name drop was such a surprise. I know this is a continuation series but apart from the X-Men themselves I really didn't remember any previous cameos. It's fun to exist in a world where these folks could just show up at anytime.
