It is much easier to remember that an Astronomical Unit is 150 gigameters than 1.5 x 10^8 kilometers

Is learning prefixes easier than remembering exponents?

Coming from someone who only uses metric, I find the opposite and only use meters and exponents.

Speed of light: 3 x 10^8 m/s

1 AU: 1.5 x 10^11 m

etc.
