idk why, but whenever I need an Arch ISO, I rather build it myself with Archiso than download it from the website. Am I alone with this?

I have never done this or even knew this existed. I have always just downloaded the latest ISO, used the Archinstall script, and then added / removed stuff as required after installation is completed.

What is the benefit of using ArchISO instead? Useful for custom build deployment across multiple machines perhaps?

That could be one reason.

Or if you need to shoehorn in something that the official ISO doesn’t provide, like an obscure driver, that’s totally possible.

I’ve made a pretty basic ISO before that had a GUI and a couple of other things for installation just to try out the process, which thankfully isn’t too difficult to piece together. But I would imagine that it allows for flexibility for the user to install as they please more than anything.
