I don't fully understand why China doesn't take a harder stance against worker exploitation.

Im not the most well versed but i always assumed it was an attempt to rapidly industrialize and expand past the point of vulnerability from other nations. Its shitty but china is still around and the USSR isn't. Things should get better for China's proletariat from here
