I've always enjoyed walking round the crazy art project rave town, sometimes it's completely different and sometimes it's the same as the previous year. What was it like in 2023?

Didn’t see anything different. Shangri La and Unfair Ground had the same layout. Big head thing “IICON” stage was the same. As was the Temple and NYC Downlow. We didn’t spend too much time there this year so might have missed some smaller venue changes. All good fun though.

Ah shame, I was a bit disappointed last year that Shangri-la is now just a couple of big stages instead of the weird shanty town it used to be,. Someone I knew who worked on the old one did describe it as "wildly unsafe" though, so not really surprising it's changed!

Almost like it’s got too busy and the focus has to be on moving large crowds around. I remember one year, a long time ago, queuing to get into a random small structure for quite some time to find that I needed to be “decontaminated” and then granted entry to a slumber-rave where everyone was given pyjamas/nightwear to put on and danced around oversized beds all night.

I loved that kind of mad stuff, but yeah when you designate one area as "this is where the nightlife is" and a hundred thousand people all want to have a look, it gets pretty busy
