There are way too many people already. That's part of why people don't want to have kids, we don't have enough resources.

Our civilization is completely unsustainable, largely because we're way overpopulated.

Earth does have the resources to support the amount of people, I forget the rough number, the problem is allocating them in an effective way.

If a government wants to increase the birth rate their best long term solution is to address the rising cost of living not just throw baby bonuses at parents.

Earth has the resources to support an imaginary population of humans who care more about the environment and fairness. That's not the real world.
