instant WRECKS my stomach. No idea why. Glad its not just me.

So apparently, instant is made by freeze drying the beans/grinds. When you're drinking it, you're ingesting the grinds which can be quite acidic. I get a similar reaction when I ingest some of the grinds from a turkish coffee.

You know the smell of instant coffee in the jar. It's not the granules (they don't smell when dry). The smell is injected just before the jars are sealed.

So I just need to make weak real coffee? I used to do drip coffee when I lived in Detroit, never made it strong, just made it taste nice. Jamaica blue . ๐Ÿ˜Š

Drip was my standard in Canada. Bit of shock coming here and finding out it's hardly a thing. I still don't mind filter coffee, but use a single cup filter arrangement.

same shock here

Right, that makes a bit of sense I guess

My GP at the time told me about this. It's been nearly 20 years and still the only type of coffee that does it to me. I'll take it as facts.
