Well remember what happen when IRS went after the Microsoft for stashing tax payer money away. They lobbied US government to reduce resources of IRS so they don't have power to keep pursuing the matter anymore.

Contrary to popular belief US is not land of the free, it is land of the corporate ownership. Getting angry at Microsoft is like getting angry at the King. What are you gonna do about it, it is the KING.
I can't see this regularly bullshit nothing more than illusion to fool Public opinion and not a single cent more. If FTC actually be a hassle, they will be reminded who their owners are.
I don't know. I agree with some of your points but on the other hand, no one is forcing me to use Internet Explorer right now, and that was not always the case.
