Nixon got $18 million and he thinks he's entitled to the same. He mentioned it in an interview.
His estate got 18 million in the year 2000, six years after his death, as compensation for his tapes and documents while in office. His presidency and resignation prompted the Presidential Records Act to be inacted. Since his records were taken before the Act was passed, the Supreme Court decided his estate was owed the 18 million.
His estate wanted $200 million, the DOJ was suggesting $2 million. They settled at $18M.
