As an Amsterdam resident, I fucking love this. The major has taken a lot of heat for this, which inspires respect. You need to have balls/ovaries of steel to carry out such a controversial measure as a politician.

The traffic jams in other streets are crazy, but they are getting slightly less chaotic as week passes, which means automobilists are either taking other routes further away from the city, or are using their cars less. Win/win for everybody
