occurring to me that this server would be a great spot for a crypto skeptic sub, meme stock skeptic sub, etc
I'm in as long as it has an embedded marketplace, user-friendly wallet and seamless NFT purchases
someone tried starting a r/buttcoin replacement https://awful.systems/c/Buttcoin@kbin.social but it's basically dead
Oddly, r/buttcoin is still doing well enough that it's one of the few places I still stop by on reddit. Can't say the same for any community still on twitter, dough.

It would be nice to have a version here without the slurs. I can stand the obnoxious liberal takes, but there's a line somewhere.

I consider it absolutely in scope for TechTakes given our focus (crypto is just one techfash grift among many) and the composition of our community; we can revisit and maybe split off a community if the volume of crypto shit ever gets overwhelming though
