I don't know about what you think a utopia is. But outsourcing your cleaning to school children isn't exactly my idea of one.
Far from butthurt. Just don't understand why anyone would call Japan a utopia when their phones need a shutter sound for taking pictures, by law. For good reasons.
Guess we lost some nuance over the internet.
My whole point is that Japan is so often portrayed as this ideal country and this ultra respectful society. Mainly by people that know Japan through an anime obsession and maaaaybe one visit to the country. In reality Japan is a very flawed country with many very serious issues. But the internet (and especially reddit/lemmy) has a hard-on for the country for some reason.
