Can someone more versed in Lemmy please let me know why I can see the current posts on this instance I am using (feddit.uk) but yet I can't see any posts on the other one I use (sh.itjust.works)?
I can see other lemmy.world based communities but just not this one?
Sorry if my terms are wrong I'm just feeling my way around this wierd world!
A lot of times the other Lemmy instances just tend to not "sync up" with each other.
It could be that the instance you're on doesn't have enough power to operate it's server with all its users while trying to at the same time pull in federated content from other instances.
Another thing I've noticed is that a lot of Lemmy instances have mismatched Lemmy versions so I wonder if that causes an issue when trying to share federated content between instances.
I'm not an expert on this, I just a general understanding of how this stuff works.
Thank you for the reply. I'll just sit back and see how it goes then.
Interestingly I am currently typing this reply from my account on the instance that was previously not showing this community and I can see this specific post now but no others. Not sure why.
But thank you. Hopefully this community grows, thank you for starting it!
