If they told him no, Max would have come in and forced the stop, guaranteed.
That would have lost him the race. They wouldnt have been ready and that would have cost the 4 seconds he was in front of leclerc after the stop
Go on the radio like "Coming in, be ready". You really think, they'd not be ready? Of course they'd be ready.
He definitely would have wanted to! Max shows up to every session with the desire and means to dominate.
