Why do people replay single players games they've already played before? (alien.top)

I'm talking about those that play the same games 2 or more times. You already know how the game plays and you know how the story goes. Wouldn't you rather spend that time playing a new game? I've only got so much time to play and a I have huge backlog. I never found myself picking an game I've played already over a new one. I'd like to know your thoughts.

I've never done back to back playthroughs but I'll definitely revisit games I've liked a year or two later for another playthrough. It's like watching a movie you've already seen before but really enjoyed so you watch it again.

Exactly! We all want to play older games we used to play as kids or games we enjoyed, so we know it will be a fun experience again, But a back to back playthrough maybe a second playthrough is understandable but a third? Like what the hell were doing in the first two? And I've seen many people so it
