I have the first one actually but never played it, does it not have the same good bad paths?

You can still be evil in Kingmaker, but it doesn't split things up in specific paths that guide you in one direction, it's just general choices you can make throughout the game. And it's not as world-threateningly evil as Wrath where you can be an actual demon lord, a lich, or a swarm of insects that want to devour the world.
