I think for me it has to be games that have a well thought out beginning like Sable or Children of the Light but just dont have an ending.

The locked door that my jacked up killing machine character can't bring down because I'm supposed to go through some bullshit in order to find the key.

Fallout 3 Very Hard locks on doors with smashed windows that you could just reach through and unlock.
