I think for me it has to be games that have a well thought out beginning like Sable or Children of the Light but just dont have an ending.

the ending to half life 2.

"good job you killed the final boss. Now go away until we see you in the sequel" no fucking resolution at all. you don't even get to see the thing finish exploding.
