For me, it's Jude the Obscure. That book is easily the worst book I have ever read, without a single redeeming quality, other than that it finally ends. I only finished it because Far from the Madding Crowd was so damn good.

But really, Jude is the gold standard of awful books, in my opinion.

What's your so-awful-it-deserves-shelf-space book, if you have one?

Or am I just weird?

I have a lot of the Brian Herbert and & Kevin J Anderson books they pretend are part of Dune.

I have to say they are entertaining from how much fun I had dissecting just how terrible they are.

I mean they have Paul run away and join the circus as a kid.

Also they somehow manage to get progressively worse.

…. Say what? I’ve read the first two Dune books. At what point do I need to stop before I reach this crazy storyline?!
