I started out in text based MUDS. I would find a terminal to log in where ever I could, it felt like going home. Some point and click adventures felt that way. Skyrim, and WOW for a while.

What's your favorite alternative dimension?

Pokemon FireRed, I played it over and over again as a kid, racking up save files in the hundreds and even thousands of hours, just to erase it and start from scratch.

The only thing that I'd put even close to it would be FFXIV
