I'll go first: playing with other people in multiplayer who are geographically close to you would be very fun.

Most games Got ruined by doing so. Fall guys was so fun, then it became "free to play" and you had to purchase a battle pass in order to get skins.

How does that make it less fun? Having skins doesn’t affect the gameplay. It just makes it so more people can play and if you want to support the developers you can get something for it

If cosmetic options didn't enhance the player experience, they wouldn't be sold as microtransactions.

That's because people assign significance to how others perceive them in game. It's like Yeezys costing so much just so you can show off your expensive shoes. But at least there we have some concept of limited supply and scarcity, even if it's artificial.

This is one where I side with the people selling the cosmetics. Players only want the 20 dollar skin to show other players they bought the 20 dollar skin. If people want to buy that, I can't fault someone for selling it.
