Game Pass on PS5 sounds like the best of both worlds (at least for consumers).

depends.

Sony will never allow it as it is, the only way they would allow it is to have a different gamepass for PS only, where Sony would get a (decent) cut of it.

similarly with how EA does EA Play, each platform they have EA Play it's a different subscription
