Stop pricing stuff with whatever bs currency system you made up for your game, just tell me a skin costs $2.99 and not 800 crazy coins (which you still have to buy with real money.).

If you mask the true cost, it makes it easier for kids to get their parents to pay for it. The insidious preying on kids makes me sick. And tired (as a parent who is bugged for these things and cannot get his kid to understand why it’s fucking garbage)

The other thing is, you can never just outright buy the exact amount of currency you need. Say a skin is 800 coins, but you go to the store and they’re like “Well, you could buy 2 sets of 400 OR if you buy the 1,000 token bundle, you get 200 FREE!” Which makes you consider spending more than you needed to make it 1 transaction and give you leftovers for next time, which you’re more than likely going to have to add on to later anyway.

Next thing you know, you went from a $10 bag to $75 and are thinking “Well I CAN’T say no to that kind of bargain!”

Or gift cards. Every time with the Roblox or MC gift cards in the store. Why not just pull out a gun and say “hand over the wallet”. I am the meanest dad in the world because I won’t casually throw down an extra $25 at the store checkout.
