Half the reason companies in all industries are pushing AI adoption is to minimize their labor costs, which usually constitutes 25-30% of their operational expenses. Lower headcount means lower expenses, which means higher profits.

There will be companies that try to go all-AI, but with the current state of things their products probably won't be as good compared to a mixed workforce of humans+AI... but the long-term goal is to reduce headcount, and thus payrolls, to absolute minimums and let AI do the rest.

What part of profits made you think the employees would benefit? Higher profits are beneficial to shareholders, not employees.
