UIs designed for touch screens/mice and just mapping XY on a controller joystick to a cursor. It's not hard to program a UI for a controller, devs are just lazy and want the UI to shift around on a daily basis.
Man, this plus the tendency to not rescale the UI/tooltips/whatever for a TV. That tiny ass text is ok when you’re sitting like 2 feet from the monitor, but not when you’re like 15 feet from the TV. I’m already nearly blind, I don’t need help losing the rest of my vision thank you very much
