If any game requires only one save file, which it chooses when it automatically saves over it, I immediately have a distrust of it. All it takes is one thing to corrupt and you lose everything.
Mostly game on PC so storage isn't an issue. I should be able to save when I went, to a new slot when I want. If that means I end up with 100 saves and it eats up a few hundred MB of space, so be it.
