I’m curious - why do you pick iPhone compared to other smartphone brands? (Google Pixel, Samsung, OnePlus, etc.)

(I’m also going to be asking in other phone subs, hope this survey goes well)

I need a working, synchronized, ecosystem that is safe, reliable and that does not steal my data (harvest). As long as Apple can provide that I will not even look at other solutions

I find that most, not all, of the people who say this still use multiple Google accounts on their devices which completely negates this idea.

Do you really think apple doesn't harvest your data?

They do, but not at the level that Samsung, Google and the rest does. Main difference is that Apple does not sell what they collect.

Exactly this. I wonder when will the people on this sub will wake up and realize apple is the fastest growing adtech major .

Yes, coz things they say about their competitors (like one time they put a billboard in front of google office saying “we are in the business of keeping out of your business” that too in the heat of this privacy debate). They should have found multiple ways to sue them or atleast have their own campaign to belittle apple by now like Samsung phone campaigns . Their services collects data that too anonymously and after asking for permission

This…very much. I feel like iphones are safe and reliable. Unless you get a Google Pixel, every other brand of android phone has basic android and their UI laid over it, which ends up as a bloated experience no matter which company it is. With Apple, I also know exactly how much support I am getting for a particular device. And they work for that period and often more. The cliche “it just works” comes from somewhere.

That being said, I miss the ease of downloading new ringtones. It’s so easy on Androids. As I have grown older it has mattered less and less, though, my phone is almost always silent. I rarely recognize its sounds when it makes any.

You're the type of customer they love - the ones who think they do no wrong, lol.

They absolutely, positively, harvest your data just as much as other companies.
