I am planning to buy 3x deco m4 for my mesh setup. I understand that I should connect main deco to my isp modem via ethernet.

I have one ethernet connected from modem to basement PC. If I want to connect slave deco to basement, should I do it like this:

Modem-ethernet to main deco-ethernet to slave deco in basement-ethernet to PC

Would this work the same as connecting modem to my PC, or I could get issues with latency and speed?

I am using this PC for gaming.

Thanks, and sry for my English, hope you understand.

Yes this would work just fine as you are hoping, also if you only need/want two units the Deco XE75 is a $100 off right now making it 200 usd, but the m4 would be a great choice too, you just get Wifi 6E with the 75s.
