This is something that blew my mind, why are all leading scorers off Teams (club and National Team) all from the new era? Why is there no leading scorer who played in the 70s? (alien.top)

I dont get this, why is nearly every single leading scorer from the new era?

Why is it never like „yeah he played in the 70s and is leading scorer off xyz“

You can check that, i am not talking bs, its hard to find a leading scorer that was in his prime between 1970-90

Longer careers now due to improved fitness training and diet impact both stats and more internationals per year impacts that list.

Gerd Müller was West Germany’s top scorer but he only played 62 international games in an 8 year international career. Miroslav Klose overtook him but he has played 137 times in 13 years. He’s still only scored 3 more goals than Müller mind.

And Müller is still the overall top scorer in the Bundesliga (365 goals). In fact, eight of the top ten overall scorer's in Bundesliga history are not from the modern day era. Only Lewandowski (2nd, 312 goals) and Claudio Pizarro (6th 197 goals) are.

Gerd Mueller Specials by Adidas…..classic design. It was Sambas and Gerd Mueller specials…..
