I just got the iphone 15 pro today and when i finished setting up the phone with the data transfer and everything, the apple watch sent me a notification asking if i want to pair the watch to the new phone. I clicked yes and it started on its loading screen. It made a bit of progress but then got stuck and it’s not even close to halfway yet. It’s been like that for 3 hours and i took it off my wrist and put it on charge an hour ago. Is this an error or what should i do? Thanks a lot in advance

The watch must be charged to at least 50% and must be on the charger, not your wrist, for the process to complete. So you’ll have to hard reset, unpair, and start from the beginning. Taking it off the charger can even brick the watch and require Apple to fix the software. During that popup to start, it always says keep the watch in the charger with at least a 50% charge and do not remove the watch during the process. Maybe you missed that instruction screen.

Do you know if i’ll lose all my data on the watch when i try this again?

It should have automatically backed up to your iCloud account when you unpaired it from your old phone. You should be able to restore from that.

Thanks. So just perform the hard reset while it’s on its charger and then it’ll ask again to pair with my new phone? Thank you
