For me it’s got to be hitman blood money.

Halo Reach.

"OBJECTIVE: SURVIVE"

I remember finding a hiding spot in that level where enemies couldn’t find you and I would leave the game running overnight to find that I’m still in the same spot and the mission was still going. I’ll never forget that feeling of hopelessness realizing there truly was no way out and all I could do was fight

First mission: Lone Wolf - an introduction to your character as a badass stand alone soldier that don't need no team

Last mission: Lone Wolf - you're alone cause all your homies died.

Absolutely incredible ending

I mean, Halo CE also had a bad ass ending . . . the run in the Hog and the Sarge and the Covey looking on as the Pillar explodes.

Pretty bad-ass.

All the Bungie Halo games had awesome endings. I replay Halo 3 with a friend almost every year, and that final warthog race is always so epic

Eh, 2’s final mission isn’t as cool as the others I’d say

Yeah people are forgetting but fans were not happy with Halo 2’s ending.

It's so surreal too, the way it transitions into the mission, almost giving you a perspective that nobody living can explain what it's like to be in, for obvious reasons. You can try to imagine it, but seeing it, even on a screen, much different ball game. Alot of emotion to decompress from right after that final mission and cutscene and intensity the first time you beat it.

Not to mention the feeling I had as a kid who grew up on Halo... Watching Spartans die for the very first time was haunting. And then your screen cracks. Really rough emotions that day.

I played that as a young kid, it was the first time I ever saw a main character die, as well as my first halo game. So I went into the mission thinking it was possible to make it out alive. Imagine my surprise when I finally died and realized there was ever an chance to make it off Reach
