The two-mission finale starts after you and your team have spent the entire game trying to stop the world from tearing itself apart from the actions of one man, and then you find out that someone who was supposed to be a trusted ally guiding you to prevent the war was pulling the strings from behind the scenes to make it happen the whole time. Then he kills nearly your entire team including your character leaving you to play the final missions of the game as your mentor and friend who just failed as a leader and let all of his men die, and he along with his mentor embark on a suicide mission with extremely limited resources for the sole purpose of revenge

Then, in the climactic final battle you are wounded in a spectacular crash, drag your barely functioning body with what I believe we are meant to assume is a broken leg, to try to finish the mission and kill the bastard that caused this, only to be overpowered and stabbed, AND THEN, you keep trying to fight back, eventually having to pull the knife out of your own fucking body despite tremendous injury and blood loss, and take one final chance to take out the bad guy for good, and you nail the throw.
