Have you ever played a game that was absolutely phenomenal, but when you reached the ending, an extremely disappointing scene played out?

Dark Souls 1 definitely did that for me. Really not a big fan of both endings.

I still remember walking around her lookout at the end. Hoping that something would happen. I wanted anything, any further connection, but no. It was made clear what was happening and I just wasn't accepting it. I had to accept it and finally leave on my own.

They did a truly impressive job ending the game like that. Sticks with me and makes me feel complicated feelings.
