AirDrop more than 1k Photos -- is that possible? (alien.top)

Airdropping more than 200 photos seems to fail. I'd love to airdrop from phone to phone 1k photos, but it seems there is a sweet spot. What else have you come across? Or seen in practice?

How is shared album losing quality but iCloud link isn’t

The files are already in the cloud

When you download files from a shared album - they aren’t downloaded in the same quality as airdrop or wire transfer is - I think?
