We're over already! Are we due for another Champion of Champions? I started cheering for Sam, but as the series went on he didn't feel like an underdog since Greg seemed to be favouring him - I guess The Taskmaster just really appreciated Sam's unpredictable sense of humour. A worthy winner, although I'd have also liked to see Julian win.
The hotel task was great. Julian's team's descent into Fawlty Towers was both expected and glorious. “Nice legs!” Contrasted with Sue & Susan's smooth sailing ship - I'd definitely stay in their B&B if/when it opens.
That final task was definitely an anticlimax. Alex mentioned that it took 30 minutes in rehearsals; I assume this means that the crew had done a dress rehearsal, not that the contestants had seen the task before...?
There are extended cuts of the hotel task on the YouTube channel.
Nothing about a champion of champions yet, there is a new year treat though.
