I am a software developer and I mainly work as a backend developer but I also do some work in the front-end as well, so I want to buy robust hardware to run backend services using Node.js, Java, Go, Docker, k8s, etc.

My primary objective is to invest in hardware that will remain relevant and efficient for at least the next five years.

I've been looking into this options:

  1. 1 - MacBook Air 15" M2 CPU 8‑core, GPU 10‑core
    1. 24 GB RAM
    2. 1 TB SSD
  2. 2 - MacBook Pro 14" M3 Pro CPU 11‑core, GPU 14‑core
    1. 18 GB RAM
    2. 1 TB SSD
  3. Apple MacBook Pro 16" 2021 M1 Max 10 Core GPU
    1. 64 GB RAM
    2. 1 TB SSD
