Hey everyone! I recently got my hands on the latest AppleTV 4K (2022) and I've connected it to my TCL 4K HDR Google TV. I've linked my TCL soundbar with Dolby Atmos sound to my TV using the HDMI ARC port and connected the AppleTV to the regular HDMI port with an HDMI 2.1 cable. During the setup, the AppleTV remote automatically detected and controlled all devices, which was fantastic.
However, there seems to be a minor issue. Whenever I power off all the devices with the AppleTV remote and then power them back on after a while, my Google TV home screen appears first on my TV. It takes a few seconds for the AppleTV home screen to load up. Is this normal behavior? Although it's not a dealbreaker, it kind of annoys me to see the Google TV home screen first and then wait for a few seconds before the AppleTV home screen appears. I'm wondering if the issue could be related to the HDMI cable I'm using. TIA.
GoogleTV pops up first because the AppleTV is still coming out of sleep or powering on. When it detects the AppleTV’s HDMi signal it switches to it.
