Unfortunately the AppleTV only supports atmos when it's in a Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 container. DD+ 7.1 or TrueHD is not supported and will be converted to multichannel PCM.

I've been comparing the movie Dune (2021 version) on the AppleTV4k with Airpod Max headphones . I compared the Max (HBO) app version in 4K Dolby Atmos/Dolby Vision vs both Infuse Webdav versions: a) TrueHD7.1/HDR 4k vs. b) Dobly Digital Plus 5.1. My findings are the TrueHD 7.1 sounds the best. Its more detailed, goes louder, deeper bass. Not sure why this is...
One reason could be that they have been mastered differently for streaming vs bluray.
The TrueHD audio is also lossless compression, while the DD+ version is compressed.
Question, how much bandwidth does a 60 gig movie being streamed thru Infuse from a real debrid feed via Webdav? I'm using Verizon Home Internet 5G doing around 110-250 mbps down. it seems like when I'm playing large movies, its beuffering my wife palying back Bravo TV shows
It’s use 125mpbs max for 4K Bluray. But typically between 50-80mbps. I
I'm playing Atmos thru a DD+ 5.1 container thru the Max headphones via ATV4K 2017 device. The problem I get is it is only in Multichannel PCM not Atmos. I do get Spacial Audio, just not Spacial Audio plus Atmos
