Antibiotics are brutal. My wife had an antibiotic resistant infection last year and had to do 3 rounds of different antibiotics. It fucked up her stomach so bad that she couldn't eat anything without gagging/vomiting. It took a month or two to be able to eat anything other than bananas, yogurt, and protein shakes. And it took her about 6 months to get back to being able to eat anything she wants.
Yes, they can be pretty full on. Glad to know she eventually made a full recovery. These ones messed up my appetite too, but I'm confident I'll bounce back quickly.
