This looks like not much more than a marketing gimmick. I won't be running out anytime soon to buy a Chromebook X.. It looks like they will be limited to AMD and Intel offerings; apparently, Google hasn't heard of the advances in ARM. I think Google should have stuck with developing a new PixelBook rather than this initiative.

... but the demand for gaming support is what drives demand on the high-end... and that leads to amd686 architecture.
