Raspberry Pi 5 comes with new features, it’s over twice as fast as its predecessor, and it’s the first Raspberry Pi computer to feature silicon designed in‑house here in Cambridge, UK.

Headlines seem to be:

2-3 times faster than a Pi 4.
Single-lane PCI Express 2.0 interface (and thus support for SSDs)
Requires active cooling (realistically the Pi4 does too unless you had a heatsink case), dedicated pins for this fan
No 3.5mm audio socket
