Posts should be related to UK-centric news, and should be either a link to a reputable source, or a text post on this community.
Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.
If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread.
Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.
Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

The fact that he was supporting three charities for women with substance abuse problems now just looks sinister. Let's hope it doesn't go all Jimmy Saville.
Also that headline is a mess, has Sky just got AI writing it's articles?
For some reason it seems interesting that the charities these people involve with relate to their crimes.
It could be because their lawyers figuer it would help their case when they get caught, or there is a scam somewhere.
On the surface it is clearly misdirection or a fig leaf but Saville used his charity work to gain access to vulnerable people.
and the not so vulnerable; he was often seen laughing with peter sutcliffe as he had the keys to broadmoor
A lot of the inmates in Broadmoor were vulnerable, they just also happened to be deemed not fit to.mix with the rest of society. The two aren't mutually exclusive.
Weirdly enough, he once joked on air about sending his female assistant, naked, to Savile.
