hello im a young adult and ive been wanting to sell/make money but i stink at everything and i have autism which makes things harder for me. etsy looks so cool, but they seem really overcrowed how are you even suppose to stand out on etsy?

ive know a few people who tried selling on etsy but they all failed and im afraid i might also fail, also etsy costs money to post on. are there alternatives or is etsy the best, also do you have any tips or something you would like to share about etsy?

also are there better places to post this at?

I have a friend who started selling candles locally and is making an absolute killing, I don't even understand how other than the markup people will pay for "handmade" candles is insane. In their case they had a booth at a local flea market and then started asking business around town if they would stock some of their candles and keep a portion of the sales. Now they have a small full-time store they share with another local business and they may quit their day job because they have trouble keeping up with demand. They also sell on Etsy, but I think it is a fairly small portion of their sales compared to local
