I'd love this to be true because it would be funny af, but no, the police probably knew where he was for months before hand. The arrest just came at the perfect time.

On the other hand, his constant boasting about being a romeo pimp for his previous porn site definitely led to some part of the investigation.

I believe they had said that they weren't sure he was in the country until they saw his pizza box and then swamed him.
