Book or movie?...I saw the movie first, then read the book. Both are great.

Movie. I don't remember if I ever read the book....and...that probably means I didn't or I never finished it. I usually read the book first but I'm no good with Stephen King's writing on paper.

Inventive stories and with good characters but he writes very simply, which is not a bad thing in itself, it's just not my style.

I was about a quarter of the way through The Stand at the beginning of the pandemic. Certainly gave it some weight.

Pretty much. I don't remember what I was reading of his but I couldn't handle every second word being a swear word and stopped. Think I got the furthest with Misery.
