Any Pleroma users able to follow a magazine on the Fediverse? (fedia.io)

I haven't been able to successfully follow a magazine yet from Pleroma, it just sicks at a follow request. Has anybody else been able to do so?

it seems like fedia is having federation issues? the last thread from a person outside fedia.io is from over 24 hours ago
