I posted recently about my struggles with my new 7a battery. I installed android 14 beta today and going to bed after 4 hours SOT I've got 50% battery left, the difference is ridiculous.

From my reading I'm led to believe Google will find a way to lose the gains by the time the release is final but I have my fingers crossed, it's turned the phone from a regret to a sound purchase so far.

I might try it out but I use my phone for important work stuff. So beta anything makes me a bit nervous.

Yeah I feel you. I do too but the battery felt like a liability so I took the plunge. You can read about the bugs before you do so but I haven't come across any. And you can pull out of the beta at the final release. You do need to clean wipe if you decide to pull out from the beta before then though.

Oof. Doing a clean wipe sounds awful with MFA and email and other work stuff I have on my phone. I think I might skip and just plug my phone in more often for now and hope for the best lol.

Yeah it scared me too. If you're happy already no harm sticking with the same. But if you do find it frustrating, it's a very mature beta and has worked flawlessly for me so far.
