You could say the same about ACABers suddenly becoming fans of police brutality 😏
I'm not sure why the downvotes. The meme could literally have two buttons that say "ACAB" and "Justice is served" and it'd have the same effect.
The story is ironic. That's why the meme works. There can be conflicted feelings all around.
A someone can be a bastard and still deliver justice occasionally.
Ironic doesn't mean mutually exclusive.
Some versions of the meme have a third panel with the superhero guy pushing both buttons.
