My new commercial portable hotplate arrived yesterday, so I've been testing it out this morning. It works really well with my pressure-canner, so one of my biggest concerns about a gasless cooking future has been solved. Because it's portable it also makes my preserving setup a bit more flexible which is nice.
Preserve the veg and meats!
Conserve the fruits we eat
Gasless hotplates will save us all
'Til electricity fails and falls!
Look at you big spender, new aircon new hotplates!
Well, the aircon is actually an expense for the landlord (AKA mum). I'm just spending the anticipated electicity savings 🤣
